Parking Height Reference Guide

Understand how customizable post heights determine which vehicles fit on each level of your stacker system — and how to specify the right configuration for your project.

Parking Height Reference Guide

How post height shapes vehicle clearance

Every AutoMotion stacker uses vertical posts that hold the upper platform. The height of these posts directly determines the clearance available for the vehicle on the lowest level.

Taller posts mean more clearance below — and more vehicle types that can fit. Shorter posts compress the system into tighter floor-to-floor spaces. The key is matching post height to the vehicles your residents will actually park.

Design Reference

Vehicle fit starts with lower-level clearance

The upper-level vehicle sits on top of the platform and is only limited by the building's ceiling, so the critical design decision is always about the lower level clearance.

Post Height

Vertical post height sets the available space beneath the upper platform.

Lower Clearance

More clearance below allows taller vehicles to fit on the lower level.

Vehicle Fit

Match the clearance to real resident vehicles instead of guessing.

System Planning

Coordinate floor-to-floor height early to avoid layout conflicts.
